Penza resident fined 1 thousand rubles for posting Nazi symbols in social network

Penza, 24 December 2013. PenzaNews. Penza resident was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine in the amount of 1 thousand rubles for posting Nazi symbols on his page in the social network.

“During the hearing in court, the citizen said that he does not belong to any political or informal organization. In 2012, he posted photos on his page in the Internet thinking that they had no Nazi symbols and attributes,” the authorized representative of the Oktyabrsky district court of Penza told news agency PenzaNews on Tuesday, December 24.

According to him, the expert having analyzed the screenshots of the web page concluded that the images had Nazi swastika.

“The judge recognized the citizen guilty of committing an administrative offence under Part 1, Art. 20.3 of the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation “Propaganda and displaying fascist attributes and symbols or displaying extremist organizations attributes and symbols.” The administrative liability order entered into force,” agency interlocutor said.
