Penza, 24 December 2013. PenzaNews. The Penza region was ranked 27th in the ecological rating of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for the period from September to November 2013, the results of which were published by the all-Russian public organization “Green Patrol” on Tuesday, December 24. The regions were ranked in accordance with four indexes – environmental, socio-ecological, industrial-ecological and consolidated, which were calculated on the basis of monitoring data.

According to the information published, Penza region showed positive dynamics as of the end of the year. In winter, the region took the 30th place, in spring it dropped to the 37th place, then it went up for two positions in summer, and then – eight more positions up.

The Tambov region has confidently occupied the first place in the list throughout the whole year. The Chelyabinsk region is an outsider.
