Penza, 25 December 2013. PenzaNews. The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church appointed bishop of Kuznetsk and Nikolsk Seraphim the eminent bishop of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk.

He was also instructed to temporarily supervise the Kuznetsky eparchy.

The decision was made during the last in 2013 meeting of the Synod, which was held on Wednesday, December 25.

According to the Synod, Metropolitan Veniamin of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk will be the eminent bishop of Ryazan and Mikhailov.
