Penza, 9 January 2014. PenzaNews. The branch director of OJSIC Ingosstrakh in Penza Mikhail Gusev gave the Olympic flame bowl to the governor Vasily Bochkarev just before the Sochi 2014 Olympic torch relay on Thursday, January 9.

“The company Ingosstrakh is pleased to give residents of the Penza region this symbol of the Olympics. The bowl is to take the sacred flame. After the relay it will remain in the region to remind of the day when Penza was the real Olympic capital,” Mikhail Gusev said during the festive event held in the round hall of the regional government.

He added that the company prepared other surprises for Penza residents which they will see on Friday, January 10.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, lighting up the city flame bowl will be the highlight of the Penza relay stage.

The flame is planned to arrive in “Diesel-Arena” at 21.10. It will be brought by the silver medalist of the Olympic Games 2012, Russia’s record holder Anastasia Fesikova (Zueva) who will light up the bowl with the flame of the torch.
