All kinds of public transportation – buses, trolleybuses and fixed-route taxis – will be sustained in Penza from 11.30 to 13.30 on Friday, January 10, in connection with the Olympic torch relay. He said that until 11.30 transport will work as usual.

“From 11.30 till 21.00 the work of buses of small capacity on regular scheduled routes will be stopped. In addition, the movement of trolleybuses will be stopped from 11.30 till 17.30 – No. 8 and 9, and till 20.30 – No. 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7. Staging of motive power also will not be allowed in Privokzalnaya Square at the railway station “Penza-I” from 11.30 to 13.30,” Igor Norkin said.

The head of the Penza administration division of relations with administrative authorities, public associations and religious organizations Vladimir Gurin added that some areas will be closed for all transport as the relay goes on.

“Residents of the city should be aware that until 19.00 of Friday, January 10, no parking is allowed and the traffic is restricted in Lenin Square. From 20.00 of Thursday, January 9, no parking will be allowed and the usage of private vehicles will be limited in Privokzalnaya Square. On the day of the relay from 11.30 to 13.30 the entrance to Privokzalnaya Square will be closed,” the press service of the mayor’s office quotes Vladimir Gurin.
