Penza, 15 January 2014. PenzaNews. Two organizations – LLC “Company Dilizhans” and LLC “Corporation Dilizhans” headed by a deputy of the State Duma of the fifth convocation from United Russia Andrey Fomin - disagreed with marginal rate for passengers travelling and luggage carrying in Penza established in the end of 2013.

Earlier, they sent a statement to the court of arbitration of the region to invalidate inaction of the regional department of rate regulation and energy conservation relating to their setting marginal rate for transportation of passengers and luggage.

After the department adopted its decision, the carrier expressed its disagreement with the marginal rate.

In particular, “Corporation Dilizhans” took a stand in favor of another raise of the rate for vehicles of M3 category operating within Penza.

According to the acting head of the department of rate regulation and energy consumption of the Penza region Natalia Klak, the carrier demands increasing marginal rate up to 23-24 rubles.

“We are now disputing it. Believe me, we will continue protecting interests of people,” she said during a briefing which took place in the regional government on Wednesday, January 15.

Natalia Klak also added that, according to the city administration, passenger fares in buses and trolleybuses in the municipal unitary enterprise “Penza Passenger Transport” will not be raised in the near future.

“So it is too unprofitable for other carriers with buses of high capacity to raise fares,” she said stressing that it is up to private organizations to decide to raise passenger fares.
