About 5 thousand Penza residents received high-tech medical care in 2013

Penza, 17 January 2014. PenzaNews. Over 4,900 residents of the Penza region received high-tech medical care in 2013.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Health told news agency “PenzaNews,” over 3,700 people were treated on the premises of federal clinics, and other patients – in the regional ones.

“In 2010 there were 205 patients treated in the region, while last year there were 1,267 of them, which means that the volume of high-tech medical care increased in 6 times,” the press service said.

The press service noted that at present such treatment is financed from the federal budget and is provided in three different organizations – ophthalmic and regional hospitals, as well as in the oncology center.

“In 2014 it is planned to introduce the high-tech medical care of the new form “Thoracic surgery” on the basis of the regional tuberculosis dispensary,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Health added.
