Penza, 21 January 2014. PenzaNews. Monument to the Heroes of Besieged Leningrad will be opened in Penza on Monday, January 27.

According to the chief architect of the city Dmitry Polishko, the foundation has already been laid at the site of the monument at the intersection of Leningradskaya Street and Mira Street.

“All parts are ready. The monument will be mounted on January 23. The work will be over by January 25. At the same time the lighting will be installed,” he said during the meeting at the city administration on Tuesday, January 21.

The press service of administration of Penza reminded that the opening of the monument is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the reversal of the blockade of Leningrad.
