A project under the draft title “The House of Social Initiatives of the Youth” will be implemented in the building of the regional Philharmonic in Kirova Street in Penza. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Education in of the region Ruslan Gulyaev during a meeting with reporters on Friday, January 24.

“When it became clear that the Philharmonic will be moved to a new place, there appeared several projects to fill in the vacant building,” he explained.

Ruslan Gulyaev added that based on the discussion, it was decided to combine several projects proposed by various ministries and departments, representatives of non-profit organizations and individuals with an active lifestyle.

“And if we manage to bring it to life, Penza will be one of those not numerous regions where there is such a thing as a house of social initiatives of the youth,” the deputy minister said.

According to him, the house No. 51 in Kirova Street is planned to accommodate the existing multi-purpose youth center, the pre-conscription training youth center, and NGOs of different orientation.

“Thus, in the former building of Philharmonic, new forms of work will be presented, which will enable to raise the level of youth policy, to conduct the initiatives of the youth. The young people will have their own conference room, even a few,” Ruslan Gulyaev said.

Currently, state autonomous cultural institution “Penza Regional Philharmonic Society” is being liquidated. There is a special commission, which conducts an inventory of assets. It is expected that this work will continue until March 2014.
