Penza, 24 January 2014. PenzaNews. 14,711 birth records were registered by the authorized bodies in the Penza region in 2013.

As the press service of the regional registry office told news agency “PenzaNews,” they have 225 records less than the year before.

“The regional records show 146 twins and two triplets,” the office added.

The press service noted that last year among the most popular names for girls were Anastasia, Victoria, Daria, Elizaveta, and Polina.

“Boys were mostly named Artem, Alexander, Ivan, Egor, Dmitry, Kirill, and Maksim,” the press service said.

The regional registry office added that the most rare names in the Penza region are the following: Sergei, Fedor, Yuliy, and Yakov — for boys, and Vera, Larisa, Estela, and Yaroslava — for girls.
