Penza, 28 January 2014. PenzaNews. The federal service for supervision of nature resources in the Penza region asked the residents of the region to help birds survive sharp frost by equipping birdfeeders.
“Measures aimed at facilitating the wintering birds staying during the cold season in our latitudes are held in the Penza region annual. The environment here is more favorable then in some places with more severe climate — there is a large number of squares, parks, shelterbelts, where birds can easily find food,” the press service of the federal service for supervision of nature resources in the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The service added that as soon as sharp frost sets in the region, Penza residents must do everything possible to ensure that no bird remained without food.
“National Ecological Action “Feed the Birds” is held in the country since 2002. It will last until April, when the Day of migrant birds will is celebrated. The purpose of the event which welcomes everyone to become a participant, is to help the birds survive through the cold and hungry season,” the press service pointed out.
