Penza, 28 January 2014. PenzaNews. The total debt of the Penza region residents on loans with defaulting terms amounted to nearly 3 billion rubles.

As the chief expert in media relations of the regional administration of Federal service of judicial bailiffs Kseniya Pivovarova, the number of people unable to repay their own loans and interest thereon is increasing annually.

“In 2012, there were 15,2 thousand cases in the category of compulsory enforcement, in 2013 the number had risen to 17,8 thousand. However, the amount which is to be reimbursed to the banks by the court decision has increased from 2,3 billion to 2,8 billion rubles,” the agency interlocutor explained.

She added that last year over 5,4 thousand of enforcement proceedings of debt recovery from individuals in favor of credit institutions were completed.

“The amount of money collected equaled to almost 320 million rubles. While only 983 people could repay the loans voluntarily, this amounted to over 118 million rubles. The rest of the debtors were forced by the applied to them, including seizure of property and bank accounts, as well as restriction to leave the country,” Kseniya Pivovarova commented.
