Students from first to seventh grades are recommended to stay at home. However, the city department of education informs that schools still run classes according to the schedule — if a child cannot be left at home during the school day, he may be left under the supervision of teachers.
At head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region urged the residents of the region to follow simple rules to avoid hypothermia.
In particular, it is recommended to wear layers of clothing, and the outerwear must necessarily be waterproof.
Shoes must not be tight with warm insoles. Wear mittens, a hat, cheeks and chin can be protected with a scarf, and when it is windy, apply cream on the open areas of the body. One might also like to leave metal jewelry at home.
According to forecasts, abnormal cold is to take hold of the city for the entire week. The reason is the powerful Arctic anticyclone.
