Agreement on building perinatal center signed in Penza

Penza, 31 January 2014. PenzaNews. The tripartite agreement on financial security of the regional healthcare modernization program which provides activities for the design, construction and commissioning of the perinatal center, was concluded between the government of the Penza region, the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
The signing ceremony was held in Moscow last Thursday, January 30.
As the press service of the regional Ministry of Health told news agency “PenzaNews,” the Penza region is among the seven regions, which were the first to enter in such agreement.
“In accordance with the signed document, in 2014-2016, 2,061 million rubles will be allocated from the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of Russia for the construction of the perinatal center. The first money transfer from the Federal Fund is planned for the first decade of February. In addition, 515 million rubles are allocated for this purpose from the budget of the Penza region,” the ministry specified.
The ministry reminded that the perinatal center with 130 beds will be built on the territory of the Penza regional hospital named after N. Burdenko.
“Construction work will start this year,” the press service added.
