Penza, 31 January 2014. PenzaNews. Penza residents donated 260 kg of tangerines, 250 kg of bananas, 50 kg of pears, 20 kg of apples and vegetables to the Penza zoo as a part of the action “The good is easy to do!”

“The grantors often prefer to remain anonymous, without mentioning their names. And this shows once again that it is an act of good will, not advertising,” the representative of the zoo told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He added that the citizens bring leftovers from their gardens, as well as the fruits of wild plants — acorns, nuts, and ashberry.

“Sometimes fruit and vegetables are brought from stores and markets,” the agency interlocutor said.

According to him, the zoo administration is grateful to all Penza residents who found opportunity to support animals and birds in the period of sharp frost.

“Anyone can take part in this action. And if you cannot come to the zoo, you can help the birds which also suffer from cold and hunger in the yard,” the zoo representative concluded.
