Penza, 31 January 2014. PenzaNews. The construction of a new hotel complex of about 5-6 thousand square meters with 150-160 rooms became the main topic of the meeting of the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev and CEO of LLC “Megapolis Group” Gregory Popandopulo, held in the regional government.

“Today the holding is actively investing in various activities. The Penza region is considered as a construction site for a hotel complex,” Gregory Popandopulo said.

He added that it is planned to develop several options for the future hotel.

“This will be a brand of category “3,” “4+” or “5,” the head of “Megalopolis Group” specified.

In turn, the mayor of Penza Roman Chernov, who also was present at the meeting, noted that the complex may be located near the Sura waterfront or a new square — near the regional Philharmonic and the concert hall.

According to Vasily Bochkarev, the regional authorities are interested in the implementation of promising investment projects aimed at the development of the tourism industry.

“Of course, your offer needs thorough consideration, and we are ready to discuss this project,” the press service of the government of the Penza region quoted the governor.
