Penza, 17 February 2014. PenzaNews. All-Russian specialized training on mobile application development “Hackaphone#Penza” will be held in the high technology park “Rameev” from February 28 to March 2.

According to Penza initiator of large-scale event CEO of JSC “Center of cluster development” Mikhail Lyashkov, information technology cluster was formed in the Penza region in 2013 to support and develop environment promoting entrepreneurship in the field of software development.

“At this point the cluster consists of companies – strong players in the market of IT-services in the region. The center of the cluster development is constantly working to increase the number of companies in the cluster in order to raise the competitiveness of information technology industry, and one of the most important steps in this field will be “Hackaphone” held in Penza. The event is a hackathon — a 40-hour marathon, when the idea brought by a team or an individual is realized into a prototype of mobile applications, functional product within limited time. IT-specialists, designers, marketers, brand managers and creative group will be working for three days of non-stop with their own developments surrounded by experts and mentors,” the agency interlocutor noted.

He added that during the training, even a beginner can gain a large amount of skills and experience within a three-day period, so this event is designed not only for professionals but also for developers-newcomers.

“On the first day, the participants are divided into teams and present their ideas to the experts. Also, till the very evening, there will be workshops for developers and IT-entrepreneurs. On the second day, the participants work on ideas and receive expert advice non-stop around the clock. On the third day the projects are finalized, briefing, awarding ceremony and a party are held. During “Hackaphone,” ideas turn into working prototype of the product within 40 hours — the decision is made by the expert jury and the audience,” Mikhail Lyashkov explained.

Penza will be the seventh city in the “Hackaphone tour” through the cities of Russia and the CIS. Hackathons have already been held in Moscow, Odessa, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Voronezh, and Novosibirsk. During this time, the participants developed over 100 mobile applications.
