Over 120 residents of Penza died last year from alcohol poisoning

Penza, 21 February 2014. PenzaNews. 123 cases of fatal alcohol poisoning were registered in Penza in 2013.

“101 men and 22 women died,” the press service of the regional department of Federal Supervision Agency for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry also clarified social status of the deceased.

“78 people who died from alcohol poisoning were unemployed, 32 — pensioners, and 13 — working citizens,” the press service said.

The department added that the total amount of alcohol poisoning cases amounted to 530.

Three 3 cases of poisoning were registered among children, and seven cases among teenagers,” the press service of the regional department of Federal Supervision Agency for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare summarized.
