The Ministry of Education of the Penza region sent a prompt reply to the editorial inquiry of news agency PenzaNews on the information about the possible involvement of a teacher of versatile gymnasium No. 13 in statutory rape, which states that no comment can currently be made on the situation.

“The Ministry of Education of the Penza region reports that until the end of the investigation, which will confirm or refute the information about the facts set forth in the inquiry, no comment on this situation can be made,” the letter signed by the minister of education of the region Svetlana Kopeshkina read.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier citing an authority, one of the teachers of versatile gymnasium No. 13 in Penza may be involved in the harassment of student.

However, the source did not consider it appropriate divulging the name of the teacher at this time because no charges have been brought yet.

By officially unconfirmed reports, the places of residence of the teacher and his close relatives were searched in order to detect objects or documents of any importance to clarify the situation.

The director of versatile gymnasium No. 13 Elena Tymchenko is still unavailable for any comment, and the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Penza region refuse to confirm or deny the information that caused public outcry.
