Penza, 28 February 2014. PenzaNews. Opening of rollerdrome built in honor of the 350th anniversary of Penza was held in the park “Olimpiysky” on Friday, February 28.
Welcoming the visitors, governor Vasily Bochkarev expressed hope that the new sports facility will stimulate Penza residents to spend their free time actively and with health benefits.
“It would especially be heartening if as many kids came here as possible,” the head of the region noted.
After the official part, the first public skating session was held on the rollerdrome.
Penza rollerdrome is a two-level space with a total area of over 1,800 square meters.
The air temperature in the building is maintained at +19C, which should ensure that the place is full any time of year.
