Kuznetsk, 3 March 2014. PenzaNews. Exhibition “War and press: History of war reporting” was opened in the central city library named after A. Radishchev in Kuznetsk, the Penza region.

The exhibition is devoted to the 100th anniversary of World War I.

The visitors had an opportunity to observe unique material — reprinted literary magazine “Novaya illyustratsia” [New illustration] published by the printing house “Birzhevye vedomosti” [Commercial Gazetteъ in St. Petersburg in 1914.

“Yellowed old pages store reports of military events. Also the old edition presents pictures of military leaders and photo reports from the battlefields on land, in the sky and the sea,” the press service of the city administration told news agency “PenzaNews.”
