Penza, 4 March 2014. PenzaNews. Quality mobile connection and the Internet became available to 90% of the Penza region as a result of development of Megafon network in 2013.

“The company has conducted extensive work on the extension and modernization of the network resulting in significant improvement of communication quality. In particular, success of calls in 2G network was 98%, which is 3% higher than the standard. Success of the Internet connections reached 96%. Another important result is that the network can simultaneously serve 25% more subscribers, which also has a positive effect on the quality of communication for everyone,” the director of Penza branch of JSC Megafon Alexei Bryukhachev told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He added that in 2013, over 80% of launching and equipment modernization was conducted at the request of corporate clients, local administrations and residents.

“In the big cities — Penza, Zarechny, Nikolsk, Kuznetsk, Serdobsk — installation of new base stations relieved network in densely populated areas and new districts. Now, more subscribers can make calls in Megafon network simultaneously,” the agency interlocutor explained.

Alexei Bryukhachev noted that at the moment the number of customers of the company is more than half of the population of the Penza region.

“This is 850 thousand SIM-cards served by over 780 base stations. More than half of them work in regional centers and rural areas. Modernization of existing and installation of new equipment, quality control and the Internet are the main priorities of the company,” the director of Penza branch of JSC Megafon.
