Penza, 5 March 2014. PenzaNews. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Penza region found the slogan of “Radio “Express” — the main radio of the city” not relevant to advertising legislation.
“Penza has several radio stations, therefore, this statement shows superiority of radio “Express” over other organizations providing broadcasting services. However, during the proceedings, LLC “Express” could not provide evidence to support the truth of the statement “Radio “Express” — the main radio of the city,” the press secretary of the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Marina Goryacheva told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She added that in order to obtain an objective opinion, the antimonopoly agency sent inquiries to the radio stations operating in the city with a request for their opinion on the relevancy of the slogan.
“Radio stations considered this statement contrary to fact, and the use of the slogan is tactless,” the agency interlocutor said.
Marina Goryacheva clarified that the actions of “Express” were found a violation of Paragraph 1, Part 3, Art. 5 of the Law “On Advertising.”
“The organization has been ordered to eliminate violations of the advertising legislation,” the press secretary of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Penza region summarized.
