Penza, 6 March 2014. PenzaNews. VII Regional Forum “Woman’s role in socio-economic development of the region” began its work at the hotel “Lastochka” [“Swallow”] in Penza on Thursday, March 6.

Welcoming the participants, governor Vasily Bochkarev noted that women play a key role in solving national problems, including consolidation of family values.

“Solving demographic problems, strengthening the institution of the family, youth upbringing are the directions on which progressive development of the region depends. And women play an important role in settling these issues,” the head of the region said.

Vasily Bochkarev expressed confidence that the forum will be very productive.

During the official part, the governor presented letters of gratitude to women taking an active part in the development of the labor union movement and strengthening social and economic situation in the Penza region, the press service of the regional government reported.
