Penza, 7 March 2014. PenzaNews. The number of unemployed people registered in the employment services of the Penza region amounted to around 6,900 people as of March 1, 2014.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Labor informed news agency “PenzaNews,” the registered unemployment rate is 0,96 % of the economically active population.

“The enterprises opened over 10 thousand jobs, of which more than 7,400 are blue-collar jobs. Labor market tightness is 0,74 person per vacancy,” the ministry said.

They added that since the beginning of 2014 with the assistance of the employment services of the region, over 1,640 people got employed.

“134 residents of the region started vocational training in occupations in demand in the labor market of the Penza region. 407 people were able to earn by participating in public works. Social support in the form of unemployment benefits, living allowances and financial assistance was provided to 7,790 people,” the press service of the ministry pointed out.
