Penza, 12 March 2014. PenzaNews. Logotype of news agency PenzaNews which has successfully been working in the media market of the Penza region since 2007, has become a trademark. The editorial office received a corresponding certificate registered in the State Register of Trademarks and Service Marks.

This document, issued in 2014 and signed by the head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property Boris Simonov is valid until March 2022.
“The decision on registration of the logotype as a trade mark was made in the summer of 2011 — after the development and implementation of new corporate identity of news agency “PenzaNews.” However, the procedure of preparing the necessary documents, conducting various examinations and approvals takes quite a long period of time. That is why, only now we can proudly say that PenzaNews has officially been registered as the Russian brand, which was established in Penza,” the head of news agency PenzaNews Ivan Malikov commented.
He also expressed the view that not every private company operating in the Penza region, especially in the media, is ready to spend a lot of effort to protect its name using existing legal instruments.
“Perhaps this is due to the fact that business is still living by the concept of “today” and more focused on survival in a difficult competitive environment and fast profit rather than on the long term projects. Actually, it is very difficult to predict the development of the economic situation in the future in a more realistic way. However, our company is confident not only in the future, but also in the fact that after decades PenzaNews will continue to remain a successful brand associated with high quality content,” Ivan Malikov concluded.
The official website of news agency PenzaNews appeared in the global network on September 3, 2007.
In February 2008, it was registered in the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media as news agency.
In 2009, the Internet service was redesigned for the first time.
In July 2011, a completely new version of the website was launched, it was re-branded. A branded comma became the visual symbol of the brand.
The main directions of news agency PenzaNews are forming continuous news feed, sending messages using the database of subscribers, organization of press conferences, audio-news production, translation of the most important news in English, and collection and processing of analytical, expert and strategic information.
News agency PenzaNews is a permanent participant of regional and inter-regional specialized exhibitions and the winner of professional competitions, including the nationwide level.
