Violations of workers' rights revealed at Penza meat-packing plant by Prosecutor's office

Penza, 20 March 2014. PenzaNews. Labor law violations committed by the leadership of Penza branch of public company “Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant,” were revealed by the prosecutor's office during the investigation.

“The organization does not have work schedules for employees of slaughter department abattoir workshop. It has been established that they were required to work overtime with written consent. According to the submitted memoranda to the director of the organization in December 2013 and January 2014, the overtime payment was not doubled. However, there is no actual declaration of intent of employees for that — memos have the same content and have the letterhead of the employer,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova told news agency PenzaNews on Thursday, March 20.
She added that during the inspection, they also revealed the facts of untimely medical examinations of workers and sanitary certification.
“As a result, the prosecutor of Oktyabrsky District of Penza made a representation to the director of Penza branch of “Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant” to eliminate the violations. The act of prosecution response is under consideration,” the agency interlocutor added.
