Penza, 24 March 2014. PenzaNews. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Penza region initiated a case against LLC “Bochka” for violation of paragraph 2, part 1, Art.14 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition.”
“In February 2014, 103,8 FM broadcast audio commercial advertising of restaurant “Bochka” which used the phrase “Olympic season” and “Olympic menu,” the press secretary of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in the Penza region Marina Goryacheva told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She explained that the word “Olympic” is one of the expressions and symbols, the use of which is allowed only when contracted with the International Olympic Committee or International Paralympic Committee or their authorized agencies.
“The use of Olympic symbols without a contract is misleading for third parties, creating a false impression about the involvement of the manufacturer of the goods or services in the Games,” the agency interlocutor said.
The case against LLC “Bochka” will be held on April 15.
