The current generation of parents who even having modest incomes tend to provide their children with everything that money can buy, should not bring their children up in the cult of material consumption. This opinion was expressed by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev during an extended meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the government of the region on Monday, March 31.

“Even with a low income, a family is now trying to reach for the “average” expenditure in terms of providing their children,” the head of the region said.

Speaking about the sad consequences of the parents' behavior, Vasily Bochkarev told about a tragic accident that occurred in Okruzhnaya Street on Sunday, March 30.

“The group of drunken young people were driving “BMW” through the streets of Penza at night until they crashed in Okruzhnaya Street. These are consequences of the behavior of the parents who had money. They buy expensive cars not only for themselves, but also for their children,” the governor said.

Vasily Bochkarev added that in Russia the majority of citizens would seek to have luxuries even getting into debts, while abroad it is customary to be humble, investing in the development of sustainable business.

“We must pay attention to the education of the working man,” the head of the region said, urging business representatives to participate more actively in the formation of the institution of business in the Penza region.
