Penza, 3 April 2014. PenzaNews. Honored Artist of Russia, famous ballerina, author and performer of solo concerts Anastasia Volochkova admitted that she was shocked by the events in Ukraine.

She explained that the actors of her ballet show live in this country.

“I have visited Ukraine recently, and was in shock. You know, people are still people. But due to some political prejudices, the two nations are being embroiled in quarrel again. They are even trying to set at variance the actors' community,” Anastasia Volochkova said during her visit to Penza on Thursday, April 3.

According to her, the allegation that the Russian artists should not come to Ukraine and vice versa is absurd.

She also noted that her team has experienced the consequences of political events in the country.

“We could not get the actors to the concerts, which were two weeks before the tour. They needed passports to leave Ukraine to get to Russia,” Anastasia Volochkova explained.
