Penza, 8 April 2014. PenzaNews. Governor Vasily Bochkarev approved a regulation on the department of information policy and the media of the Penza region.

According to the text of the document, a copy of which is available to news agency “PenzaNews,” the main tasks of the department media is to ensure the rights of citizens to freedom of speech and obtaining objective information on activities of the governor, the government and other executive bodies of state power of the Penza region.

In addition, the agency is to work towards the formation of a unified information space of the Penza region.

The department personnel is also responsible for the information and analytical support of the implementation powers of the governor and the government, formation of a positive image of the Penza region and positioning of the region at the provincial, federal and international levels.

In addition, the department must promote the mass media.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, a new milestone in the existence of the department of information policy and the media of the Penza region began with the dismissal of Alexei Ilika, who had been the head of the department from March 2013 to February 2014, which was the Ministry of Public Relations and Mass Communications during his tenure.

Currently, the head of the department of information policy and the media of the Penza region is Alexander Voronkov.
