Participants of Penza forum of urban communities to study skill of event organizing

Penza, 8 April 2014. PenzaNews. Activists and leaders of various associations and non-profit organizations will study the skill of professional event organizing at the second forum of urban communities to be held on April 12-13 in Penza.

According to the chairman of the regional government Yuri Krivov, the authorities are interested in the promotion of self-organizing of people around important initiatives.

“I would like the region to gain a reputation of the territory of cooperation, collaboration and trust,” he said during a press conference on the upcoming event, which took place on Tuesday, April 8.

Yuri Krivov explained that the support of the forum is a kind of incentive mechanism of altruistic tendencies in the society.

As the executive director of the community foundation “Civil Union” Oleg Sharipkov commented, around 190 people has already registered for the event.

“They are the representatives of Penza urban communities, among which is the homeless animal help group, the Russian geographical society, the organization “League for the Protection of Culture” and others,” he said.

Oleg Sharipkov said that the first part of the forum — theoretical — will be held in the business incubator “Tatlin” on Saturday, April 12, and the practical part will take place the next day in the shopping and entertainment center “Collage.”

He added that the participants will listen to the speeches of experts of the highest level from Kaliningrad, Moscow, Penza, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Togliatti and Kazan.

“Among them is Tatiana Zadirako who is the director of the charity fund “United Way.” Our experts — Svetlana Ter-Kazarova who is always involved in script writing for various activities,” Oleg Sharipkov noted.

He expressed the hope that the close interaction between different urban communities and non-profit organizations will help to fill Penza with new interesting events.

In turn, the director of LLC “Center of social innovations” Marina Tarasova noted that while searching the main topic of the forum, the organizers focused on the major events that took place in Penza in 2013.

“These are forum “Province Search,” jazz festival “Jazz May,” festival of entrepreneurs “Shurum-Burum,” charity performance “Till the third cock crows.” The goal of the second forum of urban communities is to study the skill of organizing of non-standard city events and bringing them to a new level,” she said.
