Penza, 10 April 2014. PenzaNews. Rostelekom connected over 10 thousand services to the residents of the Penza region in the first quarter of 2014.

According to the company, the most popular of them is the Internet, interactive TV, and telephony.

According to official data, in Penza the specialists of Rostelekom install 60 different services on a daily basis. The demand for broadband access is connected with the active development of optical network to high-rise buildings in Penza and the areas. Over the previous two years the number of subscribers connected to the optics more than doubled.

The services are provided in the shortest possible time, including weekends and holidays, — it takes less than a day from receipt of the application and its processing. And the subscriber determines the timing of the specialist's visit.

According to the head of the sales support department of Penza branch of OJSC Rostelekom Tatiana Kursheva, usually the installation process takes no more than 2-3 hours.

“This depends on the floor the apartment is on, as well as the way the cable comes through the doorway. If the cable has already been stretched to the landing, the process goes much faster. The installer will simply stretch the cable to switching equipment,” she explained.

As the director of Penza branch of OJSC Rostelekom Lev Dyatlov commented, in 2014 the company will continue to invest in the development of optical network.

“Optics will come in multi-storey buildings of cities and villages replacing copper communications. We will install optics in the new houses and upgrade existing equipment based on technology “fiber to the building.” Building optical network, we create the basis for further growth in the coming decade. This will allow us to quickly launch new services requiring high data transmission speed,” he said
