Military graves cleaned by Penza activists as part of “Memory Watch”

Penza, 17 April 2014. PenzaNews. Activists of the regional branch of the Russian public organization “The Young Guard of United Russia” and representatives of youth organizations of Leninsky district of Penza took part in the improvement work on military graves held at Mironositskoe cemetery on Thursday, April 17.

Cleaning of the territory was organized as a part of action “Memory Watch,” which began in the region on April 8.

Similar events are held throughout the region. They will last until May 9, when Russia will celebrate the Victory Day.

It is expected that on Monday, April 21, an honor guard will be set at the monument of military valor and labor of Penza residents. The guard will be gathered from the students of schools No. 70, 46 and 66.

On Wednesday, April 23, there will be held a rally of patriotic youth organizations, where the most active participants of the memory rally will be awarded. An exhibition of weapons found by Penza search groups will also be available for the visitors.
