Penza, 21 April 2014. PenzaNews. Fund raising, intended for creation of architectural objects and art atmosphere of the fourth international festival “Jazz May” in Penza, was announced on .
It is the first time that the city residents are invited to participate in the financing of the festival.
As expected, the basic funding required for the festival, will arrive from the department of culture and archive of the Penza region and the regional government.
The funds collected by the population will be spent on creating additional comfort for the guests.
Thus, if the collected sum amount to over 50 thousand rubles, the festival will have a dance floor and colorful bin-bags to sit, lie on, and watch the sky.
If the amount of donations will exceed 100 thousand rubles, stylish decorations will be acquired, such as plywood basses shadows on the pavement, “jazz fencing” and “jazz-benches,” sculptures of pianos and gramophones, as well as an outdoor photographic exhibition will be presented.
The green lawn, which was the core of the festival space in 2012, will be laid if the amount of donations exceeds 150 thousand rubles.
If the project fails to gain the necessary funds, the money will be returned to the sponsors.

It is possible to listen to music standing in the street, but we would like to create a space in which people would communicate nicely, but it is worth some money. These donations symbolize the willingness of everyone to participate in the life of the city, saturate it with proper events. Therefore, if you like that Penza fills up with jazz in May, we offer to support the project,” festival producer Oleg Rubtsov commented for news agency “PenzaNews.”
It is expected that in memory of their participation in the preparation for the festival, the sponsors will receive souvenirs — fancy bronze badges, posters, sets of cards with pictures of world-class jazz photographers, as well as musical instrument steel tongue drum.
