In his introductory speech, Mikhail Shekhtman told the participants about the history of the company that succeeded in finding its place in Russian market as a developer and vendor of modern composite systems for industrial automation and industry solutions.

“We had only five people at the beginning – honest, responsible top-of-the-line professionals. When we began to expand, the one thing that concerned me the most was how to build the work process for the staff so that the employees’ ages would work together in the best proportion, because continuity of professionalism and experience is the ticket to success and transfer of skills,” he said.

Talking about the topic the audience was concerned about the most – the problem of professional education and personnel shortage on IT facilities, “Krug” leader noted that at present, feedback between production facilities and higher education is almost completely absent.

“I never care about the knowledge that a student receives at the university. What I care about is his ability to learn. Of course, any head of a company, including myself, would like to reduce the time required for an employee’s internal training. As an example of proper cooperation between business and higher education, I can name a few European countries and their government-funded model of acquiring advanced professional education within a company of his choice during the employee’s first years of work. However, currently I do not think that our government would be interested in creating such partnership between the government and private companies,” Mikhail Shekhtman noted.

At the same time, he emphasized the fact that programs of higher education are long past obsolete and that textbooks on B2B/B2G-marketing designed by Russians and for Russia are entirely nonexistent.

In his opinion, the main obstacle for IT business in Russia is the absence of technical policy and technology development strategy.

“I am not a communist, but in China, for example, the government created a number of favorable conditions exactly for the development of local companies, while we are working not with, but against it,” Mikhail Shekhtman said in his interview to agency “PenzaNews.”

In the event’s conclusion, Maksim Semenkin, leader of “Secon,” association of Penza software developers and a first-time visitor of “The Formula of Success” project, mentioned that such interaction with the colleagues is very valuable for further business development.

“It is a pleasure to know that in our town, there are companies with proper work process that lets them be independent from some individuals and ensure their long-term stable existence. Now I know whom should I learn from,” Maksim Semenkin shared his experience.
