Penza, 30 April 2014. PenzaNews. The Icon of the Blessed Matrona of Moscow with her remains arrived in Penza on Wednesday, April 30.

“Until May 4, the ikon will be located in the Church of the Blessed Matrona located by the regional children’s hospital on Bekeshskaya street. In the evening of Thursday, May 1, on the eve of the Blessed Matrona day, metropolitan Serafim will administer an all-night vigil there, and on the next day he will lead the Communion service at the temple,” told Natalia Zharkova, press-secretary for Penza eparchy, to agency “PenzaNews.”

She clarified that the worshippers can come to the Icon every day from 8:00 to 21:00.

The Icon of the Blessed Matrona of Moscow was created in Pokrov staouropegion convent for one of the Bashkirian laities.

It is regularly being brought to the churches of neighboring regions for worshipping.
