Penza, 5 May 2014. PenzaNews. The festive event “Forever In the People’s Minds” dedicated to Victory Day is prepared for the visitors of Penza Zoo next Friday, May 9.

Among the events planned for the guests of the zoo are the performance of a brass orchestra from the Penza Center of Russian Chorus and Vocal Culture.

The visitors will hear such renown songs as “Den Pobedy” (“Victory Day”), “Smuglyanka” (“The Dark-Skinned Girl”), “Siniy Platochek” (“The Blue Kerchief”), and “Ogonyok” (“The Little Fire”). In addition to that, other war-themed music pieces such as “Sevastopolskiy Val’s” (“The Sevastopol Waltz”) and the march “Moskva Moya” (“My Moscow”) will be played.

Among the events of the festive event are the meeting with the veterans and homefront workers, a chalk-on-asphalt drawing competition “Let there always be peace!” as well as free soldier porridge and tea for all visitors, says the website of the Penza Zoo.
