Penza, 8 May 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza region composite student team of 20 men embarked on its first bike marathon on Thursday, May 8.

As Artem Kolobov, chairman of the regional branch of the Russian student teams, told agency “PenzaNews,” the young men will cover a path of around 100 km.

“They will visit Zagoskino, Kuchki and Bolshaya Yelan villages and will return to Penza on May 11,” said the agency interlocutor.

According to him, the student teams’ members had organized skiing social marathons many times in the past.

“Around two years ago we got an idea to organize a marathon during the warm season as well. Finallywe’vedoneit,” ArtemKolobovpointedout.

He clarified that the participants of the marathon named “For the Victory” will help veterans anw widows on their path.

“Also, we’ve planned educational work with children, and we hope to make inhabitants of the villages with the student team movement,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
