According to the head of the department of human health and epidemiological well-being of the Ministry of Health in the region Galina Rozhkova, the offered treatment programs combine different methods of smoking.

“It may be behavioral programs in individual or group psychotherapy sessions, schools for overcome smoking, as well as drug and non-drug treatments for tobacco dependence,” she said.

Galina Rozhkova added that the programs are based on the results of examination and, if necessary, patients will receive advice on the motivation of quitting.

As the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews,” the experts working in the offices of medical care improve their skills regularly.

“Thus, in the first quarter of this year they had a distance course on “Prevention of smoking, medical aid for smoking cessation.” 18 specialists took this course,” the ministry noted.
