Penza, 21 May 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza region will join the information campaign “Give me life!” which is annually held by the Fund for Social and Cultural Initiatives led by Svetlana Medvedeva.

On July 9-15, a variety of activities aimed at preventing abortions will be held in the region.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Health told news agency “PenzaNews,” they already achieved some success in the region.

“In 2013, over 1,680 women attended the offices of medical and social care willing to terminate their pregnancy. And after a talk with the specialists, 216 patients changed their intentions,” the ministry said.

The ministry also added that from January to March 2014, 59 out of 452 women who applied to the offices decided not to have an abortion.
