Penza, 22 May 2014. PenzaNews. Hot water does not reach 204 houses due to repairs on water and heat networks in Penza. This was announced by the Minister of Construction and Housing in the region Alexander Grishaev during the meeting of the regional government on Thursday, May 22. He also reminded that after April 30, when the heating season was officially completed, networks were tested at maximum load.

“It was found that there is a large number of leaks in the pipes which are currently being fixed by repair crews. Thanks to these measures we may try to guarantee that the next heating season will be devoid of any problems with the operation of networks,” the Minister said.

According to Alexander Grishaev, there is still a quite tense situation with the payment of debts for consumed energy.

“This is a huge problem. This applies to organizations of housing and public sector institutions, especially at the municipal level. At the end of the heating season the biggest accumulated debt is for natural gas and thermal energy,” he said.

However, Alexander Grishaev expressed hope that by October 1, 2014 all problems will be solved.

“Preparations of facilities of housing and those of social and cultural significance has began for the new heating season 2014-2015. To do this, local governments of municipalities have already developed necessary measures,” the minister said.
