“Normally, the media representatives report on such activities, and today they decided to become donors,” the manager on public relations of the regional blood transfusion station Marina Matyukina commented for news agency “PenzaNews.”

She added that there is a group of journalists in Penza who not only tell about the problems of blood donation on the pages of their publications, but also regularly come to the station of blood transfusion.

“I would single out the correspondent of newspaper “Penzenskaya pravda” Ekaterina Rogozhkina, who belongs to the donor dynasty. She initiated this action,” the agency interlocutor said.

In turn Ekaterina Rogozhkina explained that her mother is an honorable donor, so as a child she wanted to be one as well.

“I have donated blood for two years. Everytime, when I come to the station, I meet people asking to help someone from the family, and since blood can be donated not very often, it is important to have more donors,” she said.

Ekaterina Rogozhkina expressed hope that before the end of the action, which is expected to last until 13.00, the mobile blood collection point will be attended by as many journalists as possible.
