The teams will compete in individual and team championships.
“This is a traditional contest of professional skills. It is held in several stages. At first, at the district and regional levels, then the best team is determined among the interregional distribution network companies. There are 12 of them in our country. Thus, Penza is to welcome all the winners,” the deputy director for technical issues — head engineer of JSC “MRSK of Volga” - “Penzaenergo” Mikhail Kozhevnikov.
According to him, the participants will perform a set of tasks that will be evaluated by judges.
“Each team consists of four people — the leader, the producer and two crew members. There will be seven stages. The first of them is theoretical. It deals with a tes on an automated training program. Others are practical. One of the most entertaining is removal of a victim from a pole and giving first aid,” the agency interlocutor clarified.
Mikhail Kozhevnikov added that power engineering specialists will also demonstrate skills of various equipment replacement at the transformer substation, fire extinguishing at the facility, and many others.
“The judges will determine the strongest team that will represent Russia at the international competitions of CIS. Awarding ceremony will be held in the categories “Best Manager,” “Best producer,” “Best team member,” “The most experienced member of the team,” and “The youngest participant,” the head engineer summed up.
The Penza region has previously held such competitions. In 2010 the inter-regional championship was held, and in 2011 — international.
