Penza, 28 May 2014. PenzaNews. General practitioner of Penza city clinical hospital No. 5 was found guilty of an offense under part 3, Art. 290 of the Criminal Code “Receiving a bribe.”

“It was established that, using his official position, in March 2014, the doctor illegally gave the patient a piece of temporary disability for a reward in the amount of two thousand rubles. The doctor was arrested when receving the money,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She clarified that the court sentenced him to a fine of 80 thousand rubles.

“In addition, the court deprived the doctor of the right to engage in physician medical activities related to the implementation of administrative and organizational functions for a period of one year. The decision has not entered into force yet,” the agency interlocutor noted.
