Penza, 4 June 2014. PenzaNews. Increase of temperature by 7-10 C above the climatic norm is possible in the Penza region during June 4-9. This was announced by the press service of the city administration.

The mayor's office explained that due to the hot weather, the likelihood of fires increases, especially in the south and east of the region.

“Due to the increase of temperature, the heads of life-supporting organizations (of water, gas, electricity supply), public utility services, the heads of administrations of districts, departments of health, culture, education, transport and communications, as well as social services are recommended to strengthen control for ensuring fire safety in the subordinate objects,” the administration of Penza said.

The mayor's office added that during raids in the districts of private residential housing, it is important to remind the population of basic fire safety rules and procedures in case of fire.
