Penza, 9 June 2014. PenzaNews. Penza regional court rejected the appeal of a former police officer who was trying to revert to his duties and recover his salary for the period of forced absence.

“It was established that the man previously held the post of the deputy head of police. At the conclusion of the performance audit in December 2013 he was dismissed from the internal affairs for absence, that is a gross violation of discipline. The argument that the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region disrupted order of dismissal, was not confirmed in the court,” the Senior Assistant Attorney in the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

According to her, the court concluded that the fact of absence of the former policeman for four days was established and proven.

“In addition, the reference of the plaintiff to the fact that he was forced to leave the office duty-bound, is untenable and cannot be confirmed. Given the conclusion of a prosecutor of Zheleznodorozhny district court of Penza, it was decided to dismiss the claim. Former police officer appealed the decision, but a higher court left it unchanged,” the agency interlocutor explained.
