110 km/h to be allowed at two more sections of M5 motorway, passing through Penza

Penza, 9 June 2014. PenzaNews. The Federal Road Agency plans to increase the number of sections of the federal highway M5 “Ural,” passing through the Penza region, where speed limit is 110 km/h.

As the press service of the Federal Road Agency told news agency “PenzaNews,” the speed limit will be increased in sections 37-57 km and 86-124 km of M5.
“This proposal have already been agreed with the territorial units of the traffic police department of the Ministryof Internal Affairs,” the department noted.
The press service reminded that currently the speed limit 110 km/h is allowed in five sections of federal highways, where the increase of speed limit was accompanied by additional measures of safety which decreased accident rates by more than two times.
“These are the following sections: 1022-1031 and 1820-1844 km of motorway M5 “Ural,” 97-112 km of motorway M8 “Kholmogory,” 1-6 km of P217 “Caucasus” in the section “Bypass Inozemtsevo” and 0-14 km of the same motoway in the section “Bypass Nalchik,” the Federal Road Agency explained.
