Penza, 17 June 2014. PenzaNews. Action “Candle of Memory,” which will be held at the monument of military and labor valor of Penza residents on Saturday evening, June 21, will be devoted not only to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, who did not return home, but also the civilians who died in the south-east of Ukraine as a result of the ongoing special operation of government troops.

According to the organizers, the theme of historical memory becomes particularly relevant in the current situation.

It is planned that the candles symbolizing grief, unity and solidarity, will be ignited by World War II veterans, members of local wars, NGO activists and representatives of political parties.
