Electricity rates to grow in Penza region from July 1

Penza, 19 June 2014. PenzaNews. Electricity rates for the population of the Penza region will change from 1 July 2014. This was announced by the press service of electricity supplier in the region, LLC “Energotreyding” on Thursday, June 19.

The document provides for differentiation of rates for urban and rural communities and residents of homes equipped with gas and electric stoves.

“According to the order, one-part (daily) rate for people living in houses equipped with gas stoves will be 2,70 rubles per kilowatt/ hour. For consumers whose homes are equipped with stationary electric ovens, the rate is set at 1,89 rubles per kilowatt/ hour,” the press service said.

From July 1, residents of rural settlements will pay 1,89 rubles per kilowatt/ hour.

Consumers, equivalent to the population, who receive electricity at regulated prices, is used for household needs and is not used for business, will pay 2,70 rubles per kilowatt/ hour.

“Rates for utility services are approved and put into effect to regulate rate management and energy-saving of the Penza region. Rate changes occurred within the scheduled annual indexation. Growth rate for electricity in the Penza region was 3,9% and did not exceed the specified limits within the existing level of inflation,” the press service of the company.
